A few miles north of Red Deer, two rivers meet in a charming and scenic spot perfect for picnics and hiking. A little boy and his dog were playing in the water, cooling off in 30 degree weather one blistering, hot summer day. I caught this scene on camera and used it as a reference for the painting "Splash".
