LINDA NYKOLAYCHUK - BIOGRAPHY & ACHIEVEMENTS - Raised in Regina, Saskatchewan, Linda received both her B.Ed and her B.A. Degrees, with a visual art major, from the University of Saskatchewan. She spent her teaching career in Lloydminster, Alberta/Saskatchewan, where she taught drawing, painting and sculpture to both children and adults. During this time, Linda received recognition and several awards for her dedication to innovative art programming, including the dedication of a studio named in her honor at the Barr Colony Heritage Cultural Centre in Lloydminster. After moving to Edmonton, Linda began painting at Pro’s Art and in her own home studio in Edmonton. She is enjoying the opportunity, at Pro’s, to paint with others who share her passion for the arts.
Linda continues to do portrait and architectural commissions. Her paintings hang in homes across Canada, and have been purchased for individuals living in several countries outside of North America.
