WENDY BOWMAN - BIOGRAPHY & ACHIEVEMENTS: As a design draftsperson, specializing in structural engineering for the past 30 years Wendy Bowman, a single mother to one son, has always had a passion for the arts. Raised with her two older brothers in a small grain farming hamlet in eastern Saskatchewan, she developed an appreciation for the beauty of the out doors. Wendy found a group of friends who helped her create adventures, activities, and travel for herself and those she loved. She enjoys photography, working with clay, and watercolor along with performing in her local community theatre. Two years ago she found her passion in oils. She describes oil painting as taking the time to truly see and capture the depth and detail of what she wants to put on canvas. Taking classes through Pro’s Art Gallery has enabled her to find an excitement in creating a portfolio of expression for herself and others as she learns and develops a new creative vision for the beauty before her that stirs in her heart.
