MARINA APARTSIN - BIOGRAPHY & ACHIEVEMENTS: I first started being interested in art when I was in Junior high in Russia. I attended an art school in St. Petersburg. At the school I received the basic knowledge of drawing and gouache painting. I always enjoyed observing and learning from the Old masters. I was lucky enough to see painting in Hermitage, d’Orsay and other Russian and European museums. In 2008 I found Pro’s art school where I first ventured into oil painting. Gene Prokop’s demonstration and teaching techniques along with other student’s art work further feigned my interest in oil painting, as well as continued improving my skills in drawing and achieving a higher standard in my art.
