Bernice Weidenhammer

BERNICE WEIDENHAMMER - BIOGRAPHY & ACHIEVEMENTS: Bernice was born in southern Alberta and lived there until 1956, when she and her husband moved to Edmonton.
Although Bernice’s interest in art began at an early age, it was not until retirement that she was able to study and develop her skills. During winters in Arizona, she obtained certificates in charcoal, pastel and oil from the community college and from the Spectral Arts School.
In 2002, Bernice started classes under the excellent direction and supervision of Gene Prokop and his staff. Along the way, she has been a member of the Society of Western Canadian Artists; captured ribbons for seven consecutive years at the annual Orchid Fair sponsored by the Orchid Society of Alberta; and completed commissions for many private homes in North America.
Bernice paints for the love of art and a personal sense of accomplishment.
